Looks great, lacks signal strength

I purchased this both for looks and protection and hoped that the open slots along the sides would allow for the signal to transmit clearly from fob to vehicle. Once again, the item looks fantastic on my key fob with forged carbon and has tightly stayed in place, but the drawback is once I'm about 10-15 ft away from my car the key fob is probably not going to work when I go to hit the lock button. I can always go into the Toyota app and lock my car from there but it would be nice to have a better working signal transmit through the case.
